Minearl mining of the moon makes sense. Especially considreing it costs way too much to send equipment and materials through the atmosphere. Every single ounce sent into space is said to cost over $100 and that's a lot of moeny. How much do you weigh in at? I see, so are you sure you want to go into space? What's the matter your credit card limits out that high, oh I see? But your dreams are aren’t they? Mine too. In fact mining has been on my mind also.If we can mine the moon to make rocket fuel, concrete out of moon dust and materials to make metals to build a moon colony then we can save the money and the costs to blast all that stfuf out of our atmosphere.
Yet, if we are to mine the moon we will need significant and sophisticated artifciially intelligent robots to do this. But the moon does not have every thing we need, at least near the surface, which would be simple to get too.Where else can we go to mine of the materials we need to produce and make thnigs in space? The answer may be in all those asteroids, as many are made of metal already and that means a giant solid chunk of metal. All we need to do is to capture those atseroids and place them on the moon so that we can mine them as needed.
Consider this in 2006."Lance Winslow" - Online Think Tank forum baord.
